1. About us

A.R.P. Studio is an interior design studio in Copenhagen. It is a sole proprietorship owned by Chiara Renée Podbielski.

2. Our packages

We offer five packages: The Space Design, The DIY, The Technical Drawings, The Style Concept and The Project Management. Each has a fixed price per room, per function or for an entire home, as shown on its page. The Style Concept can be extended with a furnishing plan as an add-on.

Each package page describes what you receive, which consultations and feedback sessions are included and how the process runs. Your agreement confirms the package, the price and anything we agree specially for your project.

The Project Management is for clients who have already completed one of our design packages.

We work in person in Copenhagen or fully online. The first discovery call is online, free and doesn’t commit you to anything.

3. How we make an agreement

After the discovery call, we send you an agreement by email with the package, the price, what is included and the next steps. The agreement is made when you accept it in writing, as described in the agreement.

We confirm the agreement by email and send you these terms and information about your right of withdrawal, including a standard withdrawal form.

4. Prices and payment

Package prices are fixed and include 25% Danish VAT (moms). They are shown in euro (EUR) and Danish kroner (DKK). Your agreement states the price and the currency you pay in.

The package price covers our work. Furniture, materials, products, delivery and the work of builders and other suppliers are not included, unless your agreement says so.

You pay as set out in your agreement and invoices, including when payment is due and whether part of the price is paid before we start.

If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it is paid, and we may charge interest and reminder fees as the Danish Interest Act (renteloven) allows.

5. Your right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer and the agreement is made online, by email, by phone or at a meeting away from our business address, for example in your home, you have 14 days to withdraw from it. The 14 days start on the day the agreement is made.

To withdraw, send us a clear message, for example an email to hello@arpstudio.co. You may use the standard withdrawal form we send you, but you don’t have to. It is enough that you send your message before the 14 days have passed.

If you withdraw, we refund everything you have paid no later than 14 days after we receive your message, using the same payment method unless we agree otherwise.

We only start work within the 14 days if you expressly ask us to. We ask for this request in writing and separately, not only through these terms. If you then withdraw, you pay for the part of the work already done, in proportion to the whole package.

If a package has been fully delivered within the 14 days, at your express request and with your acknowledgement that you then lose the right of withdrawal, you can no longer withdraw from it.

6. Working together

Good design depends on good information. You give us accurate measurements, photos and information about your home, and tell us about anything that may affect the design, such as rules in your lease or housing association, building restrictions or the particular needs of your household.

If we design from measurements you have taken yourself, please check them carefully: errors in them carry into the design.

If we visit your home, you make sure we have access at the agreed time.

The timeline in your agreement depends on your feedback and decisions. If they are delayed, the timeline moves accordingly.

7. Feedback, changes and extra work

Each package includes the consultations, feedback sessions and proposals described on its page and in your agreement. Within these, we refine the design together with you.

If you would like more rounds of changes, or work outside the package, we tell you the price first. We only do extra work you have agreed to.

If the brief changes substantially along the way, for example with a new room or a different budget, we agree with you how it affects the price and the timeline.

8. Meetings, postponement and cancellation

If you need to move a meeting or a site visit, please tell us as early as you can, and we will find a new time.

After the withdrawal period, you can still end the agreement at any time by writing to us. You then pay for the work done and the costs we have already had on your project.

Either of us may end the agreement if the other seriously fails to keep it, for example if invoices remain unpaid after a written reminder.

If we have to cancel or postpone because of illness or other circumstances beyond our control, we tell you as soon as possible and agree a new plan with you. If that isn’t possible, you pay only for the work already delivered, and we refund the rest.

9. Copyright and use of the designs

Our concepts, drawings, plans, visualisations and other material are protected by Danish copyright law (ophavsretsloven). The copyright stays with A.R.P. Studio.

When you have paid for a package, you may use what we deliver for the home and the purpose described in your agreement. You may print it, share it with builders, carpenters and suppliers, and use it to build, buy and furnish.

You may not reuse the material for other homes or projects, sell it or publish it as your own without our written permission. If you share pictures of your finished home, we appreciate a mention of A.R.P. Studio.

Photos, drawings and other material you give us remain yours. You give us permission to use them for your project.

10. Confidentiality and showing your project

We treat what you tell us about your home and your life as confidential. We only share it as described in our privacy policy, for example with builders when you have asked us to coordinate them.

We only show your project in our portfolio, on social media or in other promotion if you have agreed to it, and never with your name or address unless you want that. You can withdraw your permission at any time.

11. Builders, suppliers and permits

We design and advise; we don’t carry out building work. Builders and suppliers are responsible for their own work and products, also when we have recommended or coordinated them.

Unless your agreement says otherwise, your agreement with each builder or supplier is directly between you and them, and so are guarantees and complaints about their work or products. With The Project Management, we help you follow up on problems.

Changes to load-bearing walls, wet rooms, electrics, plumbing or ventilation must be assessed and carried out by qualified professionals with the authorisation the law requires. You are responsible for any permits or approvals your project needs, for example from the municipality, your landlord or your housing association, unless your agreement says otherwise.

12. If something is wrong, and our responsibility

We carry out our work with care and professional skill. If something we deliver is wrong or missing, tell us within a reasonable time after you discover it, and we will put it right. Your rights under the general rules of Danish law apply.

We are responsible for our own errors under Danish law. We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost income, for errors caused by wrong information or measurements we were given, for the work and products of builders and suppliers, or for changes in suppliers’ prices or stock after we have delivered a shopping list.

These limits don’t apply if we have acted intentionally or with gross negligence, and they never limit your mandatory rights as a consumer.

13. Complaints and disputes

If you are unhappy with our work, please tell us first at hello@arpstudio.co. We will do our best to find a good solution with you.

If we can’t agree, you can complain to Nævnenes Hus, which handles consumer complaints in Denmark (Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager and Forbrugerklagenævnet): Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, www.naevneneshus.dk. You complain online through their website. A small fee and price limits apply.

If you live in another EU country, you can get advice from the European Consumer Centre in Denmark (Forbrugereuropa, www.consumereurope.dk).

These terms and our agreements are governed by Danish law, and disputes that can’t be solved otherwise go to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer living in another country, you may also be protected by the mandatory consumer rules of your own country and be able to bring a case there.

14. The website and changes to these terms

The texts, photos, drawings and design of this website belong to A.R.P. Studio or to those who have given us permission to use them. You may not copy or reuse them without our written consent, beyond what the law allows, such as sharing a link.

We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one in force when your agreement was made; changes only apply to new agreements. The date at the top shows when these terms were last updated.
